We received a request from the United Engine Corporation, located in Moscow. They wanted to automate one of the manufacture stages of gas turbine engine blades that had been done manually for years, thus slowing down the entire production process.

Solution

We understood that the engine blades have a non-standard figured shape, and sheet cutting would not be suitable in this case. Taking into account all the aspects, our specialists developed in a few months a five-axis laser machine SMART 5D, which had a number of advantages, such as:
