The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant had been looking for a powerful domestic laser machine that would save the company from high maintenance costs, inevitable when using foreign equipment. One of the main conditions was the ability to process pipes on a sheet metal cutting table.
The problem was that sheet cutting machines usually cannot cut pipes and other bulky workpieces. But our specialists developed a number of technical solutions that made this “impossibility” come true.
To solve the client's problems, the OPTIMUM F machine with a working field of 1500 × 3000 mm was chosen. This significantly simplified maintenance, as OPTIMUM F is included in the register of domestic manufacturers of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and is 80% assembled from the components made in Russia. The working field was set up for the pipe to be laid.
The steel portal is located on aluminum supports at an angle of 45 degrees on 2 guides on each side, which has improved the dynamic, accuracy, and operational characteristics of the machine.
According to the client's request, we installed a powerful laser source from IPG Photonics 2 kW in the machine; however, LASSARD also produces proprietary lasers subsidized the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The clear and convenient CypCut was installed as software.
The contract was executed in March 2023, and 6 months later ChTZ received the finished product. We completed installation and commissioning in just 2 weeks, and OPTIMUM F was put into operation for the manufacture of wheeled and tracked vehicles.
